Where does Scrum Master END and Agile Leader BEGIN? Differences/similarities
I think the key difference really would be: the leader leads the way in terms of direction and then creates the space where that might happen. A leader is understanding that it is not just about delivery, that two-thirds of things are rarely or never used and so maybe we should be trying to have a heat-seeking missile to find the value in the market and maybe use cheap experiments so we do not lose our short and massive bets.
Are you giving your people the time and space to learn and improve? The 9@9 rule.
Most learning programs fail for the same reason: they offer people hours they don't have. Four hours a week of development time sounds generous, but when the week already contains 44 hours of work crammed into 40, that time never arrives. Nine minutes at 9am — every day, protected, no meetings — is smaller, simpler, and far more likely to actually happen.
